BRANDING

Design and Art Direction are traditionally two separate career paths. But I haven’t had a traditional creative career. I’ve always appreciated the different challenges in both aspects. Luckily I’ve worked at shops that have allowed me to do both. Logo design, apparel, packaging, sign painting - pretty much anything you need to make your brand sing.

Be significant. Rebranding a large creative agency is a bit of a daunting task. Lots of stakeholders, lots of opinions, and even more rounds of revisions. Our design was based on the Holon theory, which refers to a whole in itself that is simultaneously part of another whole. So how does that relate to a creative agency? Moroch truly believes that every person within their agency is as equally important as the agency itself.

High Seas Provisions is a Navy Veteran owned and operated outfit based in North Texas. To keep costs low on the jerky packaging we created a stamp system that could be used across the vast range of jerky flavors. The main skully logo stamp is also used for bags and boxes being shipped out. A simple ink change helps identify flavor profiles. High Seas makes the best gourmet pickles, olives, sauces, and beef jerky you’ll ever put in your yapper. You can find High Seas products in any Central Market in Texas.

Vanessa worked for Main Street Barber Shop for many years and was given the opportunity to buy the business as the owner was ready to retire. She wanted the new Main Street Barber Shop brand to honor the history of the 25-year-old shop, but also feel timeless and stand out on the Historic Downtown Grapevine street.

Strength Society isn’t just a gym. It’s an Athletic Performance Facility. The owners wanted to create a unique, bold, energetic brand with a logo that would look great on the wall or embroidered on custom apparel.

Cobb’s Barber Shop was originally founded in 1919. When Jason discovered this historical spot, he decided to go out on his own and revamp Cobb’s Traditional Barber Shop. He wanted the logo and signage to feel as if it might have been done 100 years ago. So we kept it simple and hand-painted the signage to honor the traditional ways of doing things way back when.

Originally, this outfit was going to be named Texolina BBQ. One partner was from Texas, one was from South Carolina. Two pretty different types of BBQ going on there. What would that beast even look like? I thought it would look like a bucking pig. The boys loved it so much that they renamed their business. When you see that van and smoker on the streets, cancel whatever you have planned and go grab a plate.
